I chose to complete my first reaction paper related to readings on the topic of team leadership. One of the areas I am interested in studying includes study of how capacity building in teams is supported by leaders. During the study of team leadership, I noted that often there are discussions about how to be a facilitative leader over a long period of time, but wanted to explore further the role of a facilitative leader in a short term situation.
This activity allowed me the opportunity to practice development of the qualitative collection skills as applied to a team setting. Further, I was able to explore the nuances of team dynamics through a real-life application, and with a team that was a bit removed from my work setting.
